October 31, 2007 The monthly PSO meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday) evening at 7 pm in the school lunchroom. Poinsettia sales have begun! If you need additional forms, click here. October 29, 2007 Middle School Soccer game is cancelled today (vs. Highland Christian). Northshore 6/7 at Cedar Park 3:30pm, Today (Monday), 10/29 Elementary Drama Club auditions for 3rd and 4th grade are today - NO Drama Club for 5th and 6th grade (you will audition next Monday!!). October 25, 2007 Chapel is tomorrow! Northwest University is coming tomorrow to speak with HS students at 11:30 am in the Chapel. The last day to submit Fall Photo Contest entries is tomorrow. October 24, 2007 Be sure to sign up for conferences! Sign-up sheets will be in the office foyer beginning Monday, October 29th. Parent/Teacher conferences are Nov. 13-16. Keep submitting those great pictures and photos for the Fall Photo Contest. Be sure to print your full name, grade and teacher on the back. All entries are due by Friday. Poinsettia packets will come home this week. October 22, 2007 Submit your original drawings, photographs, or other artwork reflecting the fall season and how it reveals God’s beauty to the office or to Mrs. Bouckenooghe by 3pm on Friday, October 26th. Contest starts on October 22nd. There will be a $15 cash prize for both the secondary and elementary winners. The artwork will be judged on its creativity, originality, and craftsmanship. Details: Only one entry per contestant Place complete name, teacher’s name and grade level on the back of the entry. Winners will be announced by Friday, November 2nd. Northwest University will be here to visit with HS students right after Chapel on Friday (11:30 am). Poinsettia Sales start this week. October 17, 2007 Baja Fresh fundraiser is tonight! Bring your flyer in and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit CPCSE. This is only at the Everett Mall Way location. NO SCHOOL tomorrow or Friday. Fall Photo Contest begins Monday. See flyer for details. October 16, 2007 Senior drawing results are in! The winner of the Sudoku book is #797089. The winner of the Sees Candy is #335090. Information will come home today regarding the National Honors Society sponsored Fall Photo Contest. Mom's Prayer and Praise meets tomorrow morning at 8:30 in the Library. All-school Assembly today at 1:40 pm in the Chapel. Picture retakes are Nov. 9th. Conference sign-ups begin October 29th in the Office foyer. October 15, 2007 The senior drawing for the Big Book of Sudoku Puzzles or the 1lb box of See's candy is tomorrow! Tickets are 50 cents each. All School Assembly is tomorrow at 1:40 pm in the Chapel - feature Christian song writing and comedian, Greg Strange. PSAT starts at 8:30 am on Wednesday for all sophomores and juniors who have signed up and paid. The college visit from William Jessup University has been canceled due to scheduling conflicts. No school on Thursday and Friday due to teacher in-service. Enjoy the 4-day weekend!! October 12, 2007 Homecoming volleyball game is this afternoon (4pm) at Gold Creek. Come cheer on the Royals! Homecoming semi-formal is tomorrow evening at 6:30 pm. PSAT sign-ups are in the office. Make checks payable to CPCS please. October 9, 2007 Spirit week - day 2!!! Today is Mickey Mouse day. Parents and students of all grade levels - stop by the upper level stairwells to see how the HS students have decorated their hallways in celebration of spirit week. The annual Seattle Christian College Fair is October 22 from 6:00-8:30 pm. This is a great chance to talk with representatives from over 40 Christian colleges and universities, learn about financial aid/scholarships and have refreshments! The fair is held at: First Free Methodist Church-Seattle, 3200 3rd Ave. W, Seattle, WA 98119 (North Queen Anne Hill across from SPU). The north play field is being seeded to provide a better place for students to play football, kickball, etc. during recess. During the time that the grass is growing, we ask that students remain off the field. There's still plenty of room on the playground! October 8, 2007 This week is spirit week: Monday-Elvis/Teddy Bear (based on Elvis' Teddy Bear song!!) Tuesday-Mickey Mouse Wednesday-Class colors Thursday-Superhero from the 50's Friday-School colors Stop by the secondary hallways to see the student's creativity in decorating the walls for Homecoming week. Pep rally is Friday during 6th period. Volleyball game at Gold Creek on Friday - ride the rooter bus to the game to cheer on the Royals!!! Tickets are still on sale in the office for Homecoming this Saturday at 6:30 pm. Sophomore and Juniors - stop by the office to sign up and pay for the PSAT test on Wednesday, October 17. PSAT information Keep bringing in the box tops (to homeroom teacher please). Auction meeting is Thursday at Shannan Leising's house at 7 pm. Chapel blessing awards (K-6th grade) will be during this Friday's Chapel. Monday afternoon Drama Club is now full! All registrations received after Monday morning will be put on the wait list. Checks attached to applications on the wait list will NOT be deposited unless the student gets in. For the 30 students who are in Drama Club, the first practice is Monday the 15th after school. Christmas program rehearsals start this Wednesday after school. October 5, 2007 Please check the Lost and Found!!! Sophomores and Juniors - PSAT testing is Wednesday, October 17. If you or anyone in your family has served or is serving in any branch of the military, please invite them to join us. We'll honor our veterans, sing patriotic songs and have a special guest speaker at all three Chapels. October 4, 2007 School pictures (group) are tomorrow. Trinity Western University will be on campus tomorrow right after secondary Chapel (11:30 am). All HS students will remain in the Chapel for the presentation. Parents of HS students are welcome and encouraged to come. Friday's Movie Night has been postponed. Chess Club starts today right after school in the portable. Those who have registered and paid may attend. October 3, 2007 Thursday night's PSO meeting will be at Shannan Leising's house (just few miles east of school). Please email Shannan (tarshell@comcast.net) for directions or stop in at the office for a map. This meeting is for all committee chairpersons, room parents and anyone interested in PSO activities. Italian sodas and bake sale items will be on sale Thursday during lunches. Support your senior class!!! We still need drivers and hosts for both Progressive Dinners on November 9th. October 2, 2007 Join us for Mom's Prayer and Praise tomorrow morning in the library at 8:30 am. 3rd-6th grade parents and students: Casting decisions for the Christmas Program will be available tomorrow from Mrs. Cummings. Rehearsals will start next Wednesday, 10/10/07. NEW!! The student store will now offer breakfast items - power bars, granola bars, juice, etc. These will be available starting tomorrow in the Chapel Foyer before school. Permission slips will come home today or tomorrow for a 6th-12th grade field trip to the Bothell Campus for a media presentation of the life of Corrie ten Boom. Please return the signed permission slip no later than October 12th. Bake sale and Italian soda sale is today! Also purchase your tickets for the Senior Drawing on October 16th. October 1, 2007 The Movie Night on Friday the 5th has been postponed. Stay tuned for a new date! Don't forget tomorrow's bake sale and italian soda sale benefiting the class of 2008. Lollipops and tickets for the senior drawing on the 16th will also be available. Purchase homecoming tickets in the office this week and up through Tuesday of next week.
