Every high school student except one participated in this event. For three days students exchanged gifts with varying amounts of secrecy. The final gift was given on the Friday before break at the party the Leising's had. Students had a great time as evidenced by the fact they didn't leave until deep into the night.
Students were split into groups and drove to three people's homes for food and festivities. It was a wonderful time of fellowship.
Students showed great school spirit during Homecoming. The classes also competed to win a game/pizza party during fourth period. They came up with a class cheer, decorated a wall, had a coin drive, and dressed up each day. The seniors won, but it was close. Kim helped out the freshmen immensely in the coin drive, and the sophomores had a fantastic cheer. That evening, a bus then took us over to the volleyball game. Saturday night was our semi-formal event. Some incredible parents spent hours and hours of planning and preparing for this fun time. Kids ate cheeseburgers, played bingo, watched clips, hula hooped, and participated in the singing bee. It was fantastic to see all the kids dressed up in our transformed chapel!
John and David were excellent MC's at this spectacular pep rally. The students enjoyed participating in the games: Zack had his fill of chocolate, Shelby and Caitlin no longer like duct tape, and the volleyball girls will leave the blankets at home next time they have to volley!
The ASB students were a huge help at this amazing event! Kids left with faces painted, ropes jumped, pages colored, food consumed, popcorn eaten, and tug-of-war played. It certainly was a blessing to see so many come to fellowship together.

The HSASB raised about $150 dollars to help with future fundraisers and events. We all had lots of fun and were blessed by the support of the community. Thanks to all who participated! |
